Very versatile

Lovely bag for your fiber crafting needs. The grommets and velcro tabs to seperate your yarn are fantastic. They can accommodate a wide variety of yarn widths. Plenty of pockets for knitting needles and crochet hooks as well as space for stich markers, tape measures, scisdors and patterns. Live the shoulder strap. Perfect if you want to do some knitting or crocheting while taking walk. I think this bag has everything you need.

For small skeins or great for small projects

The media could not be loaded.

Great construction, the material feels well made and I like the design. It could be a little bigger as it can fit 6 small skeins, and I could only fit 4 of the "super saver" size. With it completely full, the pockets are almost useless.I like that it has a spot to hold down the tail of the yarn. It's a little velcro strip, so I wouldn't pur it across a working piece because I would worry I would damage it. One of the side pockets also has velcro, which is not good for putting any unfinished projects in. I would prefer snaps, zippers, or none. This should keep my yarn away from cat hair and protected from the cat. I like the portability as well.

Nice crochet bag, great for small projects or a crochet project for a weekend away

I like this bag. It's sturdy and sewn well. It isn't too heavy by itself. The outside pockets are good for small profile things like hooks, scissors and papers. The inside pockets could help organize small fist-sized skeins of yarn. This bag is good for small projects. I used this bag while I worked on a small bear stuffy. I pulled the yarn from small skeins through the grommets. I secured the yarn with the velcro straps. Crocheting pulling the yarn through the grommets worked well. I don't think using balls of yarn with the grommets would work too well. I think the balls would get tangled together. The bag can comfortably hold two skeins that are 7-8 ounces. You may be able to squeeze a third 7-8 ounce skein in there but it might be tight and could start to pull on the seams of the bag. It's good for a weekend away. It will help me not bring too much yarn. I'm sure crocheters understand! :-)If I am in the need for another crochet bag, I would purchase this one.

Well organized piece that should serve you well

This is a good project bag. If you are looking to use multiple colors of skeins of yarn for a project, this bag should help you keep things organized and in good order. The two inner side pockets bulge out allowing for skeins of yarn to sit in them while there is still space in the middle for more. I was nervous about the hook & eye pieces on the top for holding the ends of yarn. I thought it would damage my wool yarn, but it came out just fine. Some of the sewing on the interior wasn't finished nicely, but this could just be just on my piece. My only complaint is that the bag feels 'too light'. Which I admit is a bizarre thing to say. But when you have really lightweight wool in the bag, and picking it up feels like you are picking up an empty bag, it catches you off guard. And it has done that to me every single time I pick it up. I have to admit that I wish the bag were made of a slightly thicker and heavier material. But, if you are carrying around 6+ russet potato sized skeins of yarn, plus a project, you'd probably prefer this bag to be it's lighter self. I still want the weight. I know, I'm weird.

Well-Made, Spacious, Cute Crochet Bag for Organizing and On the Go!

I'm very happy with this crochet bag! I selected the purple heather bag, which is made of a durable woven material on the outside and a smooth, nice quality material on the inside. The bag is nicely appointed with purple heather fabric exterior and complementary gray interior, strap, and zippers. It is cute and fun to take with on the go. The bag is well-made, and it is very spacious. The zippers feel sturdy, and the adjustable strap can be made long enough to wear the bag crossbody or short enough to put over one's shoulder. The interior of the bag has a generous-sized pocket along each side of the length of the bag. Each pocket can easily hold three rolls/smaller skeins of yarn, while utilizing the optional grommet holes to thread the yarn through. Otherwise, these pockets can just act as organized yarn storage. Even with yarn in the side pocket, there is still a large amount of space in the main part of the bag. I was able to fit three small rolls of yarn on one side, along with my entire project in the main part of the bag. In addition to the large interior main compartment, this bag also has a large front side pocket that spans the length of the bag. I was able to fit my crochet kit with all sizes of hooks, scissors, etc. in the front side pocket, while carrying my project and yarn in the main compartment. (Pic#1) I was easily able to transport my project with me to an appointment, and I didn't have to worry about losing anything, snagging my project, or taking things in plastic bags as I have done before. There is another pocket on the back side of the bag, which also spans the length of the bag, but it is only held shut by a piece of Velcro. I can see myself using this pocket perhaps once I'm at my destination, if I wanted to put my cell phone in there for easy access. Additionally, it would be a good place to keep paper copies of a pattern. I am very happy with this bag, and I highly recommend it to others.

Good product

Pretty nice knit/crochet bag. It's smaller than I expected, but that's on me for not conceptualizing the given dimensions. I mainly got this because of the grommets at the top for feeding yarn out. This is great when working to keep your yarn ball or skein from rolling away and also when knitting with 2 colors together, it keeps them from tangling. There are 2 open interior pockets which frankly seem pretty useless, maybe you could keep your yarn leftovers dribs and drabs in them. So I am glad there is a zippered exterior pocket for holding needles, hooks, stitch markers, etc. I like that the interior lining is smooth and silky, nothing to catch your yarn as it rolls around. The charcoal grey is very classy and understated looking, perfect for pretty much anyone. This would make a great gift for a knitting or crochet enthusiast.

Meh

The picture makes it look like it is stuffed full of skeins all put in horizontally. However, a standard size skein will not fit like that. It maybe could hold a few skeins vertically but not in a way that mese sense to use the holes for pulling yarn through. I could fit two big cakes of yarn in there side by side though. The bag doesn't have any shape without things inside, it kind of deflates on itself. So i feel compelled to keep it stuffed full so it isnt so floppy. And due to it being flopping, i don't feel safe just putting some hooks inside, for fear of breaking or bending.I use a Vera Bradley make up bag for my hooks, and as a yarn bag. But it only has a small handle. to keep the shape of this bag and fix my "only a small handle" issue with my vera Bradley bag, i just put the bag inside this one.It works for my purposes, but I don't see this begin used with 6 skeins of different color yarn through he holes. Its just not big enough. Any crocheter could tell you, more yarn is better than less. And it doesnt give you much room for more. There is also a small area on one side that the seam is coming apart.

Slick, Soft, Crochet Bag!

I ordered this small crochet bag to be able to carry whatever project I'm currently working on with me when traveling. I have a large/tall crochet bag, but could use a smaller one for ease of carrying, for small spaces, for quick road trips, etc. I got the teal with white chevrons patterned one and it's quite pretty. The material both inside and out is slick and malleable. There isn't any sort of rigid bottom or pocket separaters, so it's free to hold as much yarn as you'd like, and even bigger skeins fit easily. However, that also means if it isn't packed full its quite squishy and floppy. This can be good or bad depending on the circumstance and what you're trying to make. It has 2 large external pockets, one with a zipper and one with a velcro closure; while the 2 inner pockets have no closure devices. The main compartment has 2 zipper pulls so it can be opened from either end. It is long enough to hold my knitting needles as well as a large thick 5oz skein of baby yarn. There are 6 metal grommets set into the top for drawing yarn through, and 6 velcro tabs for holding any yarn not being currently used at the ready for when you wish to grab it. The D-rings sewn into the sides of the bag, as well as the clips and length adjuster on the shoulder strap, are made of a thick plastic that matches the color of the bag.Overall, it's a very cute bag that can hold a surprising amount of yarn, is lightweight, easy to clean, and easy to pack. I think it's worth it's current purchase price around $20 and I would recommend it to others looking for a small yarn crafting bag!

I’ve Needed This!

I’ve had the scarf I’m working on sitting next to my chair in the family room for a couple of months. No bag, no protection, nothing. I’ve had to rescue some of the yarn from the giant beasties a few times and have started feeling bad that it gets exposed to everything. At least this scarf is for me so I don’t feel too guilty, but I have come to realize I need a better system to take care of these projects. I saw this bag and thought it would be perfect. It comes in several pretty prints, but I decided to get the gray one so the bag by my chair sort of hides and doesn’t make a statement.I needed a bag that is big enough to hold the loom I use to make scarfs. One of the pictures does show the loom I am using which is fairly small. The next larger loom also fits in the bag. There are four open pockets on the inside of the bag, two on each side. There are also pockets on each of the outer sides. One of the outside pockets has a Velcro closure, and the other one has a zipper closure. Hopefully that keeps me from loosing sone of my smaller tools. The bag is quite roomy. The scarf I am working on is almost done and is currently about 7’ long. There is enough room in the bag for extra yarn. The holes in the top of the bag could be used to feed yarn out to a working project. The bag does have a wide, cross body type strap.

Wide Bag

This knitters bag has 6 yarn hole leads and plenty of space for tools . It has Velcro tape on top for single point needles to keep them secured. The best for me is it has three spaces in bottom of the bag with plenty of room. The shoulder strap isn’t much but you can swap out for a better one . It doesn’t have any pad on the strap so it doesn’t cut into you.I’m HappyEnjoy

Clean, functional, a bit soft.

GREAT design (pockets, zippers, etc), but could be a bit more stiff in the bottom/sides/top. Easy to clean/wash, bright and doesn't get dirty easily.

Levels up your yarn projects!

This was a Christmas gift for a relative. Not only was the color PERFECT, but the ability to pull the yarn through the top hole instead of having to take out an entire skein made crocheting so much easier for her. It’s also a lot easier to combine different colors and it keeps the yarn from tangling. Definitely recommend!
